March 2008 Japanese Embassy ?Young Turkish Leaders? Japanese Foreign Ministry made the people come together again at Japanese Embassy whom were invited to Japan before during the certain periods by the name of ?Young Turkish Leaders? programme .The people who were selected having connections some how with Japan and attended these visits as groups including ten people each . During the opening speech of the night Japanese Ambassador Mr.Nobuaki TANAKA mentioned as below shown;

Unfortunately the commercial volume between Turkey and Japan is not at the desired level.The volume which calls upon to one forth volume of all.Although the number of japanese people who are curious about Turkey is poor,but we already know that the number of Japanese Tourists coming is around considered 170.000 levels.
There are good connections established between Turkish and Japanese nations.I?d like to touch on these shortly/ As you know during the world football cup the support of japanese spectactors most willingly was very historical experienced moment .On the otherhand during 1800?s as a result of the sinking Eruğrul frigate has established the same good connections between two nations.And as you may remember during Iran-Iraq war the deceased Mr.Turgut Özal whom was a president of a republic at those time had sent an airplane belonging to THY to Iran and this news had been spoken for a days on japanese newspapers .These events are the positive images on Japanese people which has been formed through in time regarding Turkey ..

The year 2010 has been announced as ?Turkish Year? in Japan.We wish for forward and better for this continuing process which has been taking places among 1800 and 2010 years .We are expecting from all our guests that will be attending to our night invitation to develop new projects and give their support regarding this year ? .
While contining to the night with Japanese rich cuisine ,The Ambassador who visited each table took a chance to meet with everyone one by one . A conversation which is shown as below took place between one of our members Mr.Hakan Kaplan and Mr. YAMANAKA who performed as an under secretary at Embassy for a long time. .
? The associtaion which was established by 1992 by the name of Uluyama has a precious place for us .The people who will work for Japanese Foreign Misnister will be asked to come Turkey and stay about a year and look around among the people for their training course in order to see and learn the Turkish culture in a leanest form .Usually the selected city has been Istanbul for today.I think your city Bursa and Uluyama is very appropriate place .We would like to direct those people with this aim to your city with your help as well ?
